Wardrobe Refashion: Hoodie

Before: a size 10-12 turtle neck shirt from my friend's giveaway pile + light pink cotton lycra fabric from my stash
After: a hooded shirt perfect for spring
Pattern: view 15 of Over lock kids book

Now Kai wants me to make one for all the boys.  It surely is tempting after seeing what Alison did.

The girls are looking over my shoulder and so happy Asha matches them. Isn't it a great pattern.

You should do one for the boys and yourself and Scott. I wanted to make one for Paul but he said it would be too expensive with the amout of fabric I would use.

Alison,
I went to our closet and pulled out all the t-shirts Scott never wears, and all the t-shirts that shrunk and are now too short for me. Let me see what I can come up with. I love the pattern. The fit is spot on and it looks really cute. I do see that Asha still fits 120 in this book but wears 130 in the other books. I can't wait to sew more from the book. It goes so fast with the serger.

ニットはロックミシンで縫うから早いのよ。ただ伸びるから裁断が面倒だけどね。

I like it very much. How amazing that you could make someone's old shirt into something so creative and cute.
