Just because I finished my Star quilt top, I let myself start another quilt. When I saw this block somewhere on the blogosphere, it reminded me of a Japanese sashiko pattern. I sketched it on a piece of paper, and made a couple blocks during the weekend. I really like them. I just wish I could remember where I saw it so I could attribute it to the proper person.
Scott doesn't see the "modern" and "Japanese" in the blocks. He thinks they looks like a Swastika. Do they, really? What do you think?
i think you have to REALLY look for it to see it. i like it!
beverly's was awesome yesterday - i restrained myself. my mom helped spark some serious impulse buying though, and it looks like i am now redoing our bedroom. very kate spade. it's cute. stu will be surprised when he gets home tonight!

When I saw it I didn't think that at all. I think it looks great!
The swastika is a traditional Buddhist symbol so how about Buddhist quilt? Just put some prayer flags in there somewhere.
I have to admit that I immediately saw the swastika. But it's a cute swastika.
maybe a bit (especially after you said it), but the different prints draw away from it. i think it's cute.
Swastika? I don't think so, but would love to know how those blocks go together. I like that design.
The block is called Card Trick. Looks like it is made with half-square and quarter-square triangles. Nice block. Great fabrics.
