Little Bits Quilt

Here is the Little Bits Quilt, finished and washed to it's wrinkly goodness.  It is amazing how quickly you can finish a quilt when you have a deadline.  And thank goodness for that, because I was getting really sick of looking at this monotonous project of brown, brown, and more brown.  But now that it is finished, I love the simple design with it's unique detail.  I just wish I was more skilled at photographing quilts.  The colors are much darker and richer in person.  Now I am going to whip up a few summer dresses for Asha to wear at the Ohki reunion, which is coming up in ten days.  I am dying for some colorful projects before I go color blind.

A+ for perserverence. That was a big project! I can't wait to see the dresses you whip up for Asha because I'm going to need some more entertainment as I sit here in bed with my laptop.

Alison,
Are you feeling OK? I'd bet you are making a big list of things to do when you are back on your feet. Did you watch the last season of Project Runaway? It just finished last week, and they are playing a lot of re-runs right now. Check it out if you haven't. It was the most competitive season, less drama, more focus on work.

Having a quiet house really helps the recovery. I'm just a little distracted by thinking of all the projects i could be getting done if I was feeling better. I guess my main project now is cooking a baby.

Speaking of distractions - do you have the link to your favorite fabric website where the Amy Butler fabric was somewhat discounted? was it z and k?

Alison,
Try Z & S Fabrics.
http://www.zandsfabrics.com/
Their selection is not the best because their inventory moves so fast, but they are by far the cheapest place to get nice quilting fabrics. The shipping will say $8.95, but if you only buy a few yards, they will refund the extra at the time of shipping. Up to about five yards. the shipping ends up being under $5.
