Pink shirt finished

I am a new woman.  I crossed out many things off my list that I had been meaning to do for a while.  Making dental appointments for the whole family, making hair cut appointment for myself, requesting a form from the doctor so we can get reimbursed by our insurance, etc.

The shirt turned out great to put the cherry on top of my day.  I added the fake pockets for fun.  I am writing everything down directly on the pattern, so I don't miss anything next time.

To answer Dawn's question,  I really did take a whole day off.  My sewing desk is in the basement with the TV and all the toys.  I usually sew while Scott watches TV, but not yesterday.  I curled up with him and watched American Idol.

Marie,
it is really cute, I am glad you were able to finally finish it. I love the added ruffles.
I did pick out a pattern and am now thinking about what fabric I want to use. It will be fun to make something for myself and actually plan it out.
I think Eliza and I will be making a feed bag for her horse today.

It looks great and save your notes for me.

I would like to make real pocket though because my girls are like rats and like to stash stuff.

kim,
I don't know what a feed bag is, so you have to show me when you are done.
I am still deciding on the pattern.

Alison,
Asha wished that they were real pockets, too. For the collar, I ended up using a twill tape inside and the flower fabric on the bias to cover the seams and finish it. It got a little bulkier than I had hoped, but it is the best I could have done.

Hooray! Looks like the shirt turned out perfect. That's great you got some other things done too. I get like that sometimes where I am possessed to get something I'm writing finished so I will ignore everything else. Luckily it doesn't happen too often or nothing would be done around here.
