Back in the saddle

Easter is around the corner, and I am finally making progress with Asha's dress.

We took a little vacation.  The kids loved their bunk beds and video games.

Lots of fun at the adjacent indoor water park.  The picture was taken from the window of our hotel room, and shows the slides running outside of the building.
First bowling for Kai.  He threw the 8 pounder like a big boy.
Got our beach fix at Lake Coeur d'Alene.

I can't wait to see the finished dress. The indoor water park sounds really fun. I bet it was so great and filled with happy echoes.

The dress looks great but I'm wondering what a dumbell is doing on your sewing table - pattern weight? Great idea, I've been using William's rock collection

Couer D'Alene looks fun! We should meet up there sometime

Alison,

I should start cutting out fabric upstairs on the counter or on the dining table. I had a hard time cutting out the big skirt pieces because the table barely fit the pattern and the fabric kept pulling. Quilting ruler plus dumbbells was my solution.
