We had a beautiful church service where our choir sang as beautifully as ever. I was humbled and honored to be part of it as one of the accompanists. Here is a list of what we sang just in case you are interested. "O Divine Redeemer" has now become one of my favorite church music.
"Open the Gates of the Temple"
"Joy in the Morning"
"God So Loved the World"
"The Lord's Prayer"
"O Divine Redeemer"
"The King of Love My Shepherd Is"
"Worth is the Lamb"
The easter Bunny hid some candy, once Asha woke him up and reminded him. Here are some pics from that. I have never been a big fan of that commercial part of Easter. It is a bad way to start such a special Sunday. I talked to the Easter Bunny and he said he could come Saturday morning instead. I think it is a good idea.

Amen on the bunny on some other day! My primary kids were worse than drunk on the sugar! Pondering what a anecdote could be that I could administer immediately before trying to teach?
Everyone looks so great. It does get a little confusing to mix the resurrection with the Easter Bunny. It's more awkward than Santa Claus for sure.
The bunny came for family night treat on Monday night. This was breaking traditions from years past and I was surprised to hear the kids complain about no presents upon waking. Paul took them to Music and the Spoken word instead and they forgot about the presents and treats.
THe kids look so cute and your program sounds beautiful.
And to 9Dixons - Treats in primary is a battle I have been fighting alone for 3 years. It really does distract from the spirit and I don't know how we can teach and expect them to practice reverence when they are all sugared up on garbage. I have been quite vocal about my concerns but still my kids (even the one with allergies) had their hands full and sticky by the time Primary was through today. I recognize the intentions of the givers may be good but it so does interfere with the greatest gifts we have to offer to the children - sorry Marie' for such a long comment but you know how I feel about this.
Marie- Your kids looked darling as usual. Thanks for the note on the recital book. I'm going to try to get one and hopefully I won't end up pestering you too much with it :/
What a beautiful family. We finished our easter morning with the story of Christ life in the eggs. I'm sure you've heard of this, if not let me know and I can email it to you. It leads into a good conversation about the true meaning of Easter and why the egg and bunny have crept into the celebration and what they simplize. Instead of candy we put change in plastic eggs.
Cecily,
Jerome said you can minimize sugar high if you eat protein with the sugar, but that wouldn't help your primary kids. I am sure it was crazy!!

どんな映画を見るの? 復活関係の映画はどれも子供に見せるにはちょっと...というものばっかりで。いい映画があったら教えてほしいわ。

そうそう。ドレス着て飛び回ってるから。
Alison,
What is Music and the Spoken Words?
Vicky,
I used to have that egg lesson, until toddler Asha played with it and destroyed everything. That is a great idea to talk about that before church on Eater Sunday. I should make the egg lesson again and make that our tradition. Thanks for the idea.
Music and the Spoken word is a weekly concert by the choir at the Tabernacle. It is broadcast on the radio and also on KBYU. They invite various musicians and there is always a short inspirational commentary. We had a tradition of watching it on TV but seeing it live was a great treat for the boys. You guys should go if you are still in town. Only 8 & up are allowed in so you could leave the younger 2 with us or we could all go down there and I'd walk the younger ones through the visitor centers.
Cute, cute, cute! We had so much company staying with us that I totally forgot to take pictures. So, I'm going to have to dress my kids up and make it look like Easter and take their pictures...ha ha!
Your children are all so darling! Is Asha wanting a sister? My Lila is begging for one. hmmmm
I miss hearing you play the piano. You are so talented. What a lucky ward to have you.
This year, we had the Easter bunny come on Saturday and I am HOOKED! Sunday was absolutely lovely! No hurrying to find baskets, eat breakfast, get kids dressed, hair done etc. etc. It was wonderful. We could really slow down and think about the true meaning of Easter. I highly recommend it =)
