I got nervous about the different color/style stars together in one quilt, and decided to make the setting blocks as neutral as possible.
After seeing the top completed, I am not so sure if it was the best option. You can't really see the nice diagonal lines the setting blocks create.
And then I saw this today. I am kicking myself now. Oh, well.
We are off to Blue and Gold. Jerome made lemon bars. I helped grate the lemon peel, but he did the rest.

I like it - it is subtle and once you stitch the top the diagonal lines will stand out more. I like yours better than the flickr link, that one seemed too "country" for me but your neutral colors give it a fresh modern twist. Sometimes working on a project so long your eyes get tired of it but it is fresh to my eys and it looks great to me!

it is very subtle, but the stars definitely take center stage as they should! i'm working on quilting mine this week...about time don't you think!

ミックスのレモンバーは作ったことないからわからないけどレシピ試してみてね。こつはレモンの皮をいっぱい入れること。こういうので削るといいよ。パルメザンチーズもこれで削ってる。

Okay this is my FAVORITE quilt! I love the simple white squares interspersed with bright colors. If I had more time, I would love to make a quilt like this for my new baby...
