Twirly skirt - take three

I finally made one for Asha with the Heather Bailey, Freshcut fabric.  (Did you know that Heather's sister-in-law, Rachel, goes to the same church as us?  She even teaches Asha's class.  She is very cute.)  I could see that Asha wasn't sure about my fabric choice, but she came around when she saw the green hoodie I paired it with.  It was this morning's thrift store find for $2.37.  I will have to resize it tonight because it is too big for her, but I am pleased with how well it matches the skirt.

Asha captured Jerome's rock-n-roll face during dinner clean up.  He is singing his heart out to "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World.

Jerome is baking peanut butter sandwich cookies from the Taste of Home cookbook right now.  He volunteered to bring some to his class party.  I love it that he can just do that without my help.

キッチンはすごいことになっちゃうんだけどレシピを読んで自分で作るのが楽しいみたい。

それがさ〜、自分用に作るとやっぱり全然かわいくないんだよね。子供は何着てもかわいくきまるからいいよね。

Love take 3. I might have to try this skirt this summer! Thanks for sharing your talents. It always gives me inspiration to try sewing clothes again.

Marie,
I was beginning to wonder where you have been. I have missed your posts and seeing all your great projects. Tell Asha I love the colors of the skirt and very cute with the jacket! I am impressed with Jerome making cookies. Maybe he will have to share the recipe.

Kim,
We were in Bellingham Thursday to Monday. We had a blast. Re-entry, on the other hand, has been a little difficult. Kai begs for red cool aid, and Quinn finds new things to climb, or get into, everyday. I have been reminded I am not a young mom anymore.

Darling skirt. I love Jerome's expression. You know your kids are getting grown up when they can cook on their own. Maybe he'll start making dinners for you.

I like the skirt and hoodie too.
Next time have Asha catch Jerome on the flip because that would make a great cliip.

I'm still waiting for the 3 tiered dress!

I love, LOVE this skirt! It's so darling... now that Julia has one I think it's one of my favorite pieces of clothing, ever! Is that a rare shot of Jerome? If he's like Seth, and sometimes I think he is, only we see faces like that, never any camera!

Love the skirt... My poor Lila is STILL asking for a skirt. I keep thinking that I will get the time to make one. I love Jerome baking and singing. That is my kind of kid. Talmage knows two guys from Jimmy Eat World!
