Halloween

This year I told the kids that they have to come up with their own costumes. After all, our costume box is well stocked, and I didn't want to use my precious sewing time for something I will see once a year. They didn't mind at all, and we had a happy Halloween.

Aunt Trisha brought these cute, and yummy, cup cakes.

This was taken after Trunk-or-Treat. Quinn threw up shortly after this... on me and my kimono. Scott's sister, Karine, reminded me later not to pick up a whiney kid on Halloween. I need to remember that.

I got to host Kai's pre-school party.

Wow...where do you get a costume box like that??

The day after Halloween Eliza was telling me that the "Candy Fairy" had brought her a Polly Pocket. I asked her who the Candy Fairy was and she said that after trick-or-treating, you get to pick five pieces of candy, then you hang the rest of your candy from your bed post. During the night, the Candy Fairy comes and leaves you a present and takes your candy! She LOVES the Candy Fairy even though if anyone has a sweet tooth, it's her. She said, "The Candy Fairy doesn't go to some people's houses. I think it's because they don't hang their candy high enough."

Later I asked the Candy Fairy what she does with all of that candy. She throws it in the garbage!

Gillian,
I will remember to hang mine up VERY high next year. What a cute idea.
